over the landscape

over the landscape i see the night
every light is a day of my life
and for every light there’s a thousand lives equal to mine

over the landscape i cast my eye
with a perspective of my size
that’s why i come up here all the time
big enough to see and small enough to hide

over the landscape i find that i am lifted far above me
